Swedish police will arrest you if you smoke cannabis in public. For several years now, the police have been focusing primarily on new and young drug users (under 18 years old).
If you only have THC in your urine, you will receive a fine. Repeated cannabis use can lead to imprisonment in the long term.
Don't walk around with a large amount of stuff in your pocket!!!
Marijuana laws and legislation for Malmö
Since February 2025, cannabis has been illegal in Sweden for both recreational and medicinal purposes. The country maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards cannabis use, and possession of even small amounts is a criminal offense. Individuals found in possession of cannabis can face fines or even imprisonment, depending on the quantity and circumstances.
Sweden's strict stance also applies to medical cannabis, which is generally not permitted. Exceptions exist for certain medications such as Sativex and Epidyolex, which are approved for specific conditions. However, access to these medications is severely restricted and requires a prescription from a specialist. Cultivation, sale, and possession of cannabis without the appropriate authorization are strictly prohibited, reflecting Sweden's commitment to a conservative drug policy.

Get in touch with me!! 🙂 Haha, if you know a real cannabis smoker in Malmö, it's easy to find good hashish, but in Malmö almost everyone tries to rip you off!
In Malmö, you need to know someone to get good weed or hashish. Most of the hashish sold here is poor quality, even if you know someone! Occasionally, you can find really good weed and hashish, but that doesn't happen often, and to get the good stuff, you HAVE to know someone.
However, if you don't know anyone in Malmö and fancy a cigarette, you could try talking to the heroin addicts outside the "Triangeln," a large shopping mall. They could probably set you up with someone, but I'm sure they'd also try to rob you.
You could also try the shady-looking Albanians who hang around Malmö in their rickety cars… sooner or later you'll find someone dealing hashish from their car.
But stay away from the police. If they catch you smoking or even suspect you of dealing cannabis in any way, you will be searched and may be taken to the station, where you will have to provide a urine sample.

Prices have risen in recent years, and up to 10g it almost always costs 100 crowns/g.
Sometimes you can get 20g for 1200–1600 crowns, depending on the quality and the seller.
100g cost between 3500 and 7500 crowns, depending on quality and retailer!
Marijuana brands
Marijuana brands: Moroccan hashish of poor quality, sometimes of good quality.
Sometimes black hashish from Afghanistan/Lebanon of good quality.
Sometimes smuggled skunk from Amsterdam/Copenhagen.
Sometimes it's good quality homegrown skunk, but sometimes it's really bad. It all depends on who you know!
